No Galaxy Nexus for Indians: Samsung

No Galaxy Nexus for Indians! Yes, you read it absolutely right. Samsung has announced that the company is not going to launch the Galaxy Nexus smartphone in India. “The Galaxy nexus will not be launched in India,” said Samsung in a tweet reply on its Samsung India Twitter page. This is for the first time that the company has officially denied the launch of the Galaxy Nexus in India.

For those who are not able to recall, the Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone to run Google’s Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. The phone was unveiled by Samsung and Google at an event in Hong Kong on October 19, 2011.

But with this recent announcement by Samsung, the big question that comes up is that after making several promises for a long time, why Samsung has now officially denied the launch of the Galaxy Nexus in India? And, that too in a tweet reply i.e., when asked about the much-awaited phone.
