Sony Xperia Go Up For Pre-Order In India For Rs.18,999

Do you still remember the Sony Xperia Go smartphone? Yes, we are talking about the same mid-range Android device which was announced in May along with the Sony Xperia Acro S. This handset is currently available only in the UK. Now, the folks living in India can finally get their hands on this device starting next week. Flipkart, the popular online retailer is currently taking pre-orders for this amazing smartphone.

Sony Xperia Go is a water resistant, scratch resistant and dust proof smartphone. Sadly, the much-needed front-facing camera is missing from this device. This handset runs on the out-dated Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. The much-awaited Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) OS is expected to arrive during the third quarter of 2012. Sony Xperia Go features a 3.5 inch Reality Display with Mobile Bravia Engine, sporting a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, scratch-resistant mineral glass, 1 Ghz dual-core processor, Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G connectivity, 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with 16x digital zoom and LED Flash, HD (720p) video recording and playback, Google Play Store and much more.

It also comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio with RDS, 512 MB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, MicroSD card slot, 32 GB expandable memory, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth technology, DLNA Certified, Micro USB, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi Hotspot functionality, up to 45 hrs music playback time, up to 6 hrs video playback time, up to 6 hrs 30 min of talk-time, up to 520 hrs of stand-by time and a 1305 mAh battery.
