When India will celebrate its 65th independence day, Star Plus will present the country a special episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate’, the show that has encouraged the society to question its mindset and free our minds of greed and open everyone’s eyes to apathy.

As expected Aamir Khan will be hosting the special episode which will cover the story of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ and will record accounts of how a TV show whipped up the winds of change over the course of 13 weeks.

Uday Shankar, CEO of STAR India said “Satyamev Jayate was all about compelling stories that raised the bar for television programming and creating an experience for our viewers. Such content is consistent with the philosophy of our network, entertainment that’s also food for thought. A steady stream of forward-looking content on Star is going a long way in making TV as a powerful medium that enables change. We will continue to unwaveringly focus on delivering programming that matches people’s expectations from us”.

The entire 13 episode journey of the show will be shown in ‘Satyamev Jayate ka Safar’. The special episode will depict the impact made by it and will revisit the progress on each of the issues discussed earlier.

This special episode of Satyamev Jayate would be telecast on Wednesday, 15th August (i.e Independence Day) at 11 AM on Star Plus, Star Pravah, Star World, Star Jalsa and Doordarshan. And on 19th August on Star Vijay, Asianet and ETV.

Aamir Khan would be sharing heartwarming stories of change coming from all over the country on this Independence Day. He will share with the viewers, the response of the country to the various questions posed at the end of each episode as well as he will give the details of all the donations collected for the various NGOs.
