Mere Brother Ki Dulhan : Movie review (

A young man (Imran Khan) tries to arrange a marriage for his brother (Ali Zafar) , but finds himself falling in love with the chosen fiancée (Katrina Kaif). The movie is fine but was not able to impress us much.

The movie is not for people who like logic based stories and good acting. The Pakistani singer cum actor Ali Zafar sure make girls woo with his super looks but failed to impress at all with his most of the time “Over-acting”.

The movie’s plot is very simple and could easily be guessed by just looking at the title.

The plot-
Yash Raj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is a love story. Kush Agnihotri (Imran Khan) works as an assistant director in Bollywood. His elder brother, Luv Agnihotri (Ali Zafar) has a job in London. Luv has just had a break-up from his girlfriend of several years, Piyali (Tara D’Souza).

Luv telephones Kush, asking him to bride-hunt for him. He’s confident that his younger brother would be able to find a girl of his taste, as both the brothers have similar tastes. Now begins Kush’s hunt for a duhlan for his brother. After many failed attempts, he finally meets Dimple Dixit (Katrina Kaif), daughter of a bureaucrat (Kanwaljeet), when her father invites Kush in response to a matrimonial ad for Luv. Kush is shocked to meet Dimple as he knows her as a wild, fun-loving, bold but endearing girl whom he had met five years ago on an excursion. The two families also approve of the liaison and so preparations for the marriage of Luv and Dimple begin in right earnest. Although the Agnihotris live in Dehradun, the marriage is scheduled to be held in Delhi where the Dixits stay.

In the course of the preparations, Dimple and Kush fall in love with one another, a fact Dimple realizes on the first day she goes out with Luv when he arrives in Delhi from London for the marriage. Dimple speaks her heart out to Kush who takes a little longer to realize that he too is in love with her.

Dimple forces Kush to elope with her. But story takes a slight turn when Kush refuses to elope, instead they plan it out all and try everything to make Luv to fall in love back again with Piyali so that Kush and Dimple can marry.

And like all good Indian movies they succeed.  Happy ending.

Katrina Kaif looked very pretty as she always does and convincingly played the role of a hard-hitting rouge that loves to live her life the way she wants to. Imran was not much impressive but was tolerable through out.

Ali Zafar did very bad on the acting scale, it was mostly overacting all the time.

The movie is just a one time watch of it is. It has a normal already used a thousand time love-triangle theme that did not impress up much.
